We've set up the following digital response teams to help process incoming information.
1. Structuring: Responsible for converting posts from SMS, Email and Twitter into structure of existing surveys. 2. Media Monitoring: Responsible for monitoring citizen reports via different social media streams, i.e twitter, facebook, blogs, in turn, creating posts from them.3. Translation: Responsible for translation of posts from local languages to English. They will work closely with the media monitoring and structuring teams4. Geolocation: Responsible for reviewing all posts for location information, and mapping posts that require geolocation. They will work closely with the media monitoring and structuring teams5. Publishing: Responsible for reviewing( ensuring correct structure and categorization) and publishing posts6. Verification: Responsible for verification of posts. They will work to corroborate incoming posts using other existing citizen reports and mainstream media7. Analysis and Research: Responsible for analysing data within the platform, and providing situation room reports in the form of data visualisation, and pdfs8. Technology: Responsible for maintenance of https://uchaguzi.or.ke for the duration of election monitoring.
These teams will be activated during the election period and will work through 4th to 12th August, 2017

NB: Trainings are mandatory for anyone participating as a volunteer for Uchaguzi, and interested participants must attend AT LEAST ONE training session.
