Registration Form for TNPRC Tour
The 2019 ACLAM Forum Planning Committee is excited to announce a special Tuesday afternoon tour of the Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC) for Forum attendees on Tuesday April 16, 2019. Transportation will leave the hotel site at approximately 12:45 pm and return by approximately 5:00 pm. The only cost associated with the sessions is a small $30 per person transportation fee, which is payable onsite at the Forum. There is a limit of 45 participants for the tour. We will fill the spaces on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a minimum of 24 people is not reached, the tour will be cancelled, and participants notified via email.

Participants will learn about the husbandry, veterinary care, enrichment and behavioral management programs utilized to care for NHPs in a National Primate Research Facility. Two tour options will be available. Both tours will consist of a walking tour of the north campus and van tour of the south campus. The north campus is the research campus and south campus contains the breeding colony.

Tour 1
This tour does not enter any animal research buildings and will be conducted without exiting the transport van in the breeding colony. This tour does not require TB or measles immunity clearance.

Tour 2
This tour is for veterinarians and scientists who are interested in entering the breeding colony. Participants are allowed to exit the van to see a field cage up close. This tour is limited to 24 people. Note: This tour will require proof of a valid TB test within the past 6 months and proof of measles immunity which can be documentation of 2 measles vaccines/previous disease or documentation of a protective serum titer.
