German-Polish-Ukrainian Program for Professionals in Youth Work and Non-Formal Education
Working language: English
Target group: Active participants in youth work
Dates: August 18–24, 2025
Where: Bildungsstätte Bredbeck, Osterholz-Scharmbeck
Team Up PRO is aimed at professionals engaged in youth work and non-formal education. While our classic Team Up program explores the foundations and practical tools of international youth work together with young people, Team Up PRO takes it a step further.
International youth work is an exciting branch of non-formal education — rich in opportunities, yet full of challenges. Today’s societal shifts and global issues demand global responses. International youth exchanges create spaces where these dynamics can be addressed in real-time and where ideas for democratic and social change across borders are born.
That’s why many team leaders see international projects as not only enriching, but deeply meaningful. But how to get started? That’s where Team Up PRO comes in.
This seminar deepens the core principles of non-formal education: group dynamics, methodology, values-based facilitation, and conflict management. It also tackles key aspects of international work: engaging in multilingual settings, collaborating in international teams, and understanding the role of both guests and hosts.
At the heart of the program lies a deep exchange around some of the most pressing challenges in the international context:
– Populism, right-wing extremism, and autocracy as threats to democracy
– The omnipresence of social media and artificial intelligence
– War, migration, and forced displacement
Team Up PRO is a new project at Bildungsstätte Bredbeck designed to be a platform for sharing innovative methods, a source of inspiration for future initiatives, and a springboard for active engagement in international youth work.
