As the parent/guardian of the above-name participant, I consent to their participation in the above-referenced National Girls and Women in Sports Day programming at Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts (the “Event”). In granting this permission, I understand and agree that:

1. The Event involves a range of physical activities that involve an inherent risk of physical injury. For myself and the participant, I assume those risks, and I agree that Williams College is not responsible for injuries suffered by Event participants.

2. In consideration of the participant being allowed to participate in the Event, I, on behalf of myself, the participant(s), and our respective, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and covenant not to sue the President and Trustees of Williams College, its officers, trustees, employees, agents, volunteers, students and all related or affiliated parties (collectively “Williams”) from and for any liability, actions, or claims that I or the participant may now or hereafter have, either before or after the participant reaches the age of majority, for any loss, injury or damage of any kind arising from or relating in any way to participant’s participation in the Event or his/her presence upon or use of Williams’s premises or facilities, including but not limited to any liability, action or claim arising from the alleged negligence of Williams.

3. I understand that Williams has no responsibility to assess whether the participant has any physical or other condition that might affect their ability to safely participate in the Event. I agree that is solely my responsibility, and I certify that the participant is in good health and can safely participate.

4. I understand that Williams is not responsible for any items of personal property, which are lost or stolen. Williams strongly recommends that any items of value, such as money, rings, watches and the like be left at home. 

5.  I understand that Williams may photograph and video Event participants for the college’s promotional, educational, or information purposes, including for use in Williams publications, on its social media platforms, and on the Williams website. I give Williams the right to take photographs and/or video recordings of the participant during the Event and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product that may be used in connection with them. I understand that neither the participant nor I will receive any financial compensation for the use of these materials. 

I agree that this waiver, release, and photo consent can be acknowledged by electronic means. By selecting 'I consent' in the drop down menu and hitting submit, I am permitting my child to participate in the Event and acknowledge and agree to be bound by the foregoing terms, including the waiver of legal rights.
