World Down Syndrome Day at the Capitol

Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with advocates from across Texas! We encourage family, friends, and individuals with Down syndrome to join us in March. This special day at the Capitol will include opportunities to:

  • Meet with your local representatives to share concerns and requests about current legislation.
  • Hear official proclamations recognizing World Down Syndrome Day from both the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
  • Gather with passionate individuals from across the state who share a commitment to advocacy and inclusion.

Time: Morning: 8:00 am 1:00 pm, but feel free to stay longer to visit your legislators

In preparation for the event, we will host two webinars covering general advocacy tips, how to engage with legislators, and key policy priorities. Recordings will be available if you can’t attend live.
