2019 Christmas in Cle Elum Parade Application
Celebrate Christmas in Cle Elum by participating in this year's parade. This event is on Saturday December 7, 2019 at 6 p.m. The parade starts at Bullitt Avenue and ends at Pennsylvania Avenue.
Registration and line-up begin at 4:30 p.m. at Bullitt and Railroad Avenue.
Judging (during parade line-up) starts at 5:15 p.m. Parade starts promptly at 6 p.m. (Winners will be able to keep their floats on display at the end of the parade near Wye Park on Railroad Ave).
We ask that there only be one Santa in the parade. He will be provided and will ride at the end of the parade on the fire truck. Thank you for your cooperation.
We encourage all entries to be as festive as possible, in addition to awards for each division, there will also be a 'Most Festive' Award!
The 2019 Christmas in Cle Elum Parade Theme is: Candy Canes (dress in red and white, decorate your float with candy, turn your float into a candy land, hand out candy canes, etc.)

Please select your division (REMEMBER: No throwing candy from moving vehicles. You may have people walk on foot and hand out candy along the route. Also, if you have animals you MUST have a clean-up crew following and picking up waste):
1st Division: Youth 14 & Under (all entries involving youth groups, clubs, schools, and individuals)
2nd Division: Politicians or Political Floats
3rd Division: Open Division (any clubs organizations, groups, comical entries, marching units, etc.)
4th Division: Classic Vehicles & Car Clubs (vintage or custom)
5th Division: Commercial Division (any entry that advertises or promotes a business or product)
6th Division: Animals (groups and/or individuals with horses, dogs, goats, etc.)
Release & Agreement: In consideration of and to permit my participation in showing one or more vehicles, floats or various types of parade entries in Christmas in Cle Elum Parade to be held in Cle Elum, Washington on December 7th 2019, I hereby acknowledge and accept the risk of possible personal injury resulting from or caused by my participation in The Christmas in Cle Elum Parade. I hereby acknowledge and affirm my continued willingness and desire to participate. Further, and of my own free consent and volition and in consideration of my participation in the Christmas in Cle Elum Parade, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Cle Elum, The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, The Christmas in Cle Elum committee, Cle Elum Downtown Association, and all other affiliated sponsors and volunteers and do hereby waive claims for any and all injuries causes of action, or damages that I or my vehicle(s) main sustain while participating in The Christmas in Cle Elum Parade. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver and release of liability and I am signing it voluntarily.I acknowledge that I am participating in a parade that requires me to operate or handle equipment, floats or livestock in a manner which complies with all local, state and federal laws and meeting safety requirements set forth by the City of Cle Elum and The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce I will not take any action that would pose a risk of personal injury or damage to any property during the Christmas in Cle Elum Parade, and I take full responsibility for those involved in my entry. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the Christmas in Cle Elum Parade on behalf of myself and all others in my entry.
