📝 Welcome to Ki Ni Naru 2026!

Ki Ni Naru (気になる), meaning “to be curious” or “to want to know,” is a 5-month STEM research training program for junior and senior high school students that nurtures curiosity, scientific thinking, and innovation through hands-on learning and mentorship.

This year's theme, The World You Can't See, encourages students to explore hidden systems, forces, and phenomena through observation, experimentation, and scientific investigation. Through workshops, mentoring sessions, and student-led projects, participants will learn how scientists and engineers investigate and understand things that are not immediately visible to us.

Please note that:

• Each team must be registered by a teacher on their behalf.

• A contact teacher must be designated for each team. This teacher will:

  • Serve as the primary point of communication

  • Support the team throughout the application and project period

• A teacher may register multiple teams, but each team must be submitted separately.

• Submitting this form does not guarantee participation in the program. Applications will undergo a screening process, and all applicants will be notified of the results.
