MotherCoders is a nonprofit that's growing the tech talent pool by activating mothers to get on a career track in tech that leverages their unique skills, experiences, and passions. Whether it’s acquiring a particular skill-set to move into a certain role, re-entering the workforce after a pause for motherhood, or accelerating the growth of a startup, the MotherCoders tech training program helps students gain the skills, knowledge, and community support to confidently take the next step (or 2 or 3) in their advancement toward a career in tech.

Our goal is to help mothers gain the skills, knowledge, and community support to confidently take the next step (or 2 or 3) in their advancement toward a career in tech. We do this through a combination of reading materials, and online and in-class coding exercises. In addition, tech professionals visit our classrooms to deliver workshops and guest lectures to provide the latest and greatest from the field. Each cohort also visits a tech company to learn how tech teams work together to reach their business goals.
During class time, on-site childcare will be provided by Sitter Studio (www.sittersstudio.com), a unique arts-based babysitting agency, headquartered in New York City, that provides families with artistic caregivers and creative childcare solutions.
