Following the submission of this petition already signed by over 1,000 members, the RCN questioned the validity of some of the signatures and have decided to completely ignore the original petition. This petition is therefore to re-collect signatures to ensure that we reach the 1,000 validated signatures required by the Standing Orders.

RCN - Extraordinary General Meeting 2023
Following the decision taken by RCN Council on Thursday 16th March 2023, to recommended that RCN members accept the 2023 pay deal in England. In accordance with standing order 13.3, we the undersigned instruct that an extraordinary general meeting of The Royal College of Nursing be held on Saturday 13th May 2023 in Brighton.
The Following resolutions shall be voted on…
1) This extraordinary meeting of the RCN has no confidence in the current chief executive and general secretary
2) This extraordinary meeting of the RCN has no confidence in the current executive team
3) This extraordinary meeting of the RCN has no confidence in council, excluding those council members whom were not present at the council meeting held on 16/03/2023
4) This extraordinary meeting of the RCN has no confidence in the negotiating party who represented the RCN during pay negotiations in 2023.
The Meeting must be held in accordance with current standing orders as written.
The Meeting must not have a time limit applied.
A poll of members must be called in accordance with the current standing orders as written.
Information contained within this form shall only be used for the purposes of calling an EGM in accordance with standing order 13.3
