London New Years Mindfulness Retreat 2018/19
A special joint retreat for all the London based Sanghas to co-creatively welcome the New Year.
Brought to you by international Wake Up friends!
The New Year
The turning of the New Year is a powerful transition as we reflect upon the quality and meaning of our lives, as well as reignite the forces of our deepest aspirations in the year to come.
In the darkest hours of winter, we also celebrate the brightest gifts of our lives and precious community.
This New Years, we will have both...
Friday, 28th of December, until Tuesday, 1st of January
Dear Friends,

You're invited to join us on this special joint New Years Retreat for Wake Up London and Heart of London!

Together as one Sangha Body, we will co-creatively welcome the year with loving-kindness meditations, Dharma talks, written and artistic reflections for the year, as well as celebrate through conscious play, music, and dancing into the New Year! Let us celebrate our lives in a way that will inspire and uplift ourselves, our descendants, and our society, lighting a bright path into the future for us all.

We'll enjoy sinking deeper in the practice, connecting deeply with ourselves and each other in the present moment.

Practicing this way, we know that we will continue beautifully into the future.

Venue .... Arrival & Departure
We will be gathering at Kench Hill Centre in a beautiful wooded setting in the rural countryside near Tenterden, Kent TN30 7DG. www.kenchhill.co.uk

Our retreat will end after lunch on Tuesday, January 1st (about 2pm).
(We will have food-to-go for those who need to leave before lunch.)

Welcome to the New Years Retreat Organizing Team!
We are excited to share with you our Sangha organizing team: Katarina Gadjanski from London, Francie Missbach from Germany, and David Viafora from the USA. Katarina, Francie, and David led a mindfulness tour for 10 days in Serbia in January 2018. David and Francie also partnered together to run a 4 month Wake Up center and community in Athens to support and befriend refugees in Greece. The retreats and mindfulness workshops were such a success that we wished to continue partnering together as a Sangha team, especially in each of our home countries.

Katarina is a psychotherapist based in London and meditation practitioner for over 20 years. Her love for practicing with both Wake Up and the Heart of London Sangha is a rare gem in our Sangha world, and her deep wish to build bridges and love between the different London communities has brought us together!

David Viafora (OI member) is apprenticing with Dharma Teachers Michael Ciborski and Fern Dorresteyn at MorningSun Mindfulness Community in New Hampshire, USA. He has been coordinating New Years retreats for the past 5 years and admires the powers of deep aspiration for our practice during this time.

Francie is an OI aspirant, Wake Up enthusiast, and aspiring psychotherapist. She has more Wake Up friends in different countries around the world than anyone we know!
