“I stayed in the conference room preparing for trial. Around 7:35 p.m. I saw Victoria heading toward the elevators.”

Marcus recently threatened to withdraw from representing Derrick after discovering suspicious financial activity.

Derrick says:

“Yes, we argued. But I left before 7:00 p.m. His bourbon glass was empty when I left.”

Marcus recently informed HR that he planned to replace Simone.

Simone tells detectives:

“At 7:30 p.m. I watched Marcus walk into his office carrying a bourbon. I never entered his office after that.”
