Introduction to the Modeling Platform (MP) and Decision Support Tool (DST)

The Modeling Platform (MP) aims to centralize and simplify access to models used in the SOILPROM use-cases. It offers a structured environment that allows users to:

1. Access the models used in the SOILPROM use-cases in one centralized location.
2. Run individual models or combinations of models for various applications.
3. Integrate with relevant European databases, providing essential data for modeling tasks.

The Decision Support Tool (DST) will be integrated into the Modeling Platform  to broaden its accessibility. It is specifically aimed at users with less modeling experience, such as environmental institutions or consulting firms with basic modeling skills. The DST will guide users by:

1. Helping them identify the most suitable models for their specific use-case,
2. Clarifying the input data required to run the models and pointing to relevant databases,
3. Detailing the outputs generated by the models,
4. Showing how to define, explore, and analyze different model scenarios, and
5. Providing results from the SOILPROM use-cases as examples to assist users.
