The committee and members cannot provide legal advice or recommend a specific course of action for any situation. Any response given by a Peer Support or Ethics Committee member cannot be used in legal, disciplinary, or administrative proceedings and members may not be held responsible for the content of the support session or the Support Seeker’s reliance on the session. This process is not intended to address urgent requests. For urgent matters, consultation with a colleague, immediate supervisor, attorney, malpractice insurance carrier and/or licensing board may be considered.
