Hi all from SVC - our aim is to enhance the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in South Wales. As our volunteers, you will know that this usually involves running clubs and befriending projects for our many beneficiary groups, which include - children and adults with disabilities, young carers, patients on dementia wards, or patients with mental health conditions, homeless people and isolated older people.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are developing a sewing initiative to make washable and reusable face coverings for our partners over at Innovate trust - they are a charity who provide support to disabled adults to enable them to live independently within their homes.
These face coverings would be made for the support staff, and the beneficiaries they support. We are looking for volunteers to help make these face coverings who have sewing experience and access to a sewing machine. We will be providing the material as well as support and guidance on how to make the face coverings.
