Walking is good for us, but do you realise that the way we walk profoundly impacts our health too. When we walk properly our mental and physical health and the body's natural healing abilities are enhanced. Walking incorrectly blocks our body's natural capability and we can suffer pain or discomfort in our joints, spine and elsewhere.
In the Natural Walking workshop we look at our habitual way of walking, realise our mistakes, and learn to walk the way our bodies were designed to walk, using muscles rather than joints, thus reducing pain and other problems and enhancing the body's innate ability to heal itself.
When we practise, we walk very slowly, pausing for adjustments to happen on the body. You will be surprised at how many new muscles you use, and what a good workout you get with each step!
During the workshop experience the beneficial effect of Natural Walking on your mind and emotions. Natural Walking doesn't just work on the physical; its benefits can be quite noticeable on our mood, mind and spirit.
