No experience necessary. All students start in beginner class regardless of level of experience, unless auditioning prior to class start time.

Teva Oriata dance classes are disciplined cultural learning opportunities where students are taught traditionally. Technique and meaning behind the dances are the focus. We treat our studio (pupu ori) like a dance family that should be inclusive, respected, prided, and deserves dedication. We have fun, get good exercise, and grow together to gain strength, discipline, confidence; and build passion and lasting friendships. We are not a production company, students are not taught expeditiously to force performing. Performances are encouraged, not required. Polynesian dance is a way of life, and not just for exercise.
