TLDR: VENMO @DSASF WITH CAPTION “💚🏳️‍⚧️” TO SUPPORT ABORTION ACCESS IN TEXAS

TEAM REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. SPECTATORS AND DONATIONS WELCOME <3

Connect with your neighbors while raising money for abortion access! 💚

San Franciscans don't need to be reminded that the struggle for bodily autonomy is universal.🏳️‍⚧️ Or, that when someone is denied an abortion it's more than a hardship for the individual and their family—it's a test of our community. Of our commitment to basic human rights. So, let's put our money where our mouths have been, are, and always will be: BALLS DEEP FOR ABORTION!

Join DSA San Francisco for a friendly kickball tournament at Rossi Field on Arguello Blvd & Edward St. Registration is open to anyone who supports bodily autonomy and trans rights! DSA membership is not required to participate. Game Day is Saturday, May 18th at 1PM. Invite your friends and family to watch you play! Donations welcome even if you can't make it 🫶🏻✨

100% of proceeds will be donated to Texas grassroots organizations Buckle Bunnies and the Frontera Fund to help out our comrades who need it most.

We've put together a ~myriad~ of ways to get involved, from a one-time donation to fundraising through your own (team or individual) sponsorship page.

Buckle Bunnies' Story: During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020), Greg Abbott banned abortions in Texas for a short time, deeming them "elective procedures". But we knew that abortions are necessary life-saving procedures, so what's some girls and gays to do? START AN ABORTION FUND! Since then, we have redistributed funds, sexual and reproductive health products, and education back into our communities all over Texas. We know that knowledge is power and abortion is a community responsibility, so when everyone has the information they deserve, they can make informed decisions about their lives and futures. We operate as a mutual aid collective with a non-hiearchical leadership structure ran solely by volunteers, meaning that donations made go directly towards abortion funding, diapers, travel costs, and other supportive measures.

Frontera Fund Mission & Vision: To provide financial support and a sense of community for those seeking reproductive healthcare in the Rio Grande Valley and Texas border community. Frontera Fund fosters reproductive justice and rights by supporting community advocacy* and direct services for all people of the Rio Grande Valley regardless of gender identity, ability, sexual orientation, race, class, immigration status, age, or religious affiliation. We envision a culture in the Rio Grande Valley that supports people of all faiths and political leanings to make reproductive decisions without shame or stigma. We see a Rio Grande Valley that has overcome the trauma of a militarized border and has gained reproductive liberation. *Frontera Fund is also currently suing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and local prosecutors to fight against extremist laws.
