Request a Clinic for Your Workplace or Community
The Street Trust offers two kinds of clinics that we present at your workplace, organization or in your community.
*NOTE:* Clinics are currently offered either virtually on Zoom or in-person outdoors.
1. Commute Clinic or Winter Biking Clinic: If you are interested in using a bicycle as a means of getting around, this one-hour clinic is designed to answer any questions you might have. We will cover bike law, skills, gear and basic bike maintenance. The goal is to boost individuals’ confidence, safety and enjoyment in bike commuting by addressing legal and practical questions.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering a virtual clinic in place of an in-person experience. You set up the virtual platform that works for you, send out an invitation to your attendees and we will provide the presenter.
2. Rules of the Road Clinic: Know your rights and responsibilities on the road while bicycling. Legal clinics cover Oregon bicycle and pedestrian law, insurance information and what to do if you’re in a crash. This clinic is led by Ray Thomas, long time bicycle lawyer. Attendees will also receive a free copy of Thomas’s book, Pedal Power: a Legal Guide for Oregon Cyclists.
We will respond within 48 hours after your request. Please allow for one to two weeks to secure a presenter if available.
