President's Annual Report 2023/2024

Attn. Presidents / Co-Chairs: Your local Home and School Association's annual report is due February 29

All reports will be included in the 71st Annual Book of Reports and circulated at the Annual General Meeting & Convention on April 13, 2024. 

Your annual report can be submitted to the Federation office in one of two ways (choose one): 

1. Complete this 2024 Annual Report Google Form; scroll down and answer questions to write your Association's report.

2. Write a one-two-page report and send it as a Word document (required) to Last year's reports are emailed to presidents for their reference. Include Home & School’s activities and educational discussions on the following topics: 

    • Healthy School Food Initiatives
    • Literacy programs
    • Health and Wellness initiatives
    • School Staff Appreciation Week activities
    • Award Nominations
    • Parent Leadership Project Initiatives
    • Speaker Resources
    • Public Schools Branch policies discussed
    • Writing Resolutions on issues that impact students' learning
    • Curriculum, Provincial Assessments, etc.
    • Communications: Home & School Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Websites
    • Fundraising
Your Home and School's Annual Report can be written like a blog by listing monthly activities beginning in September 2023 through to the end of June 2024.  Collectively, we are writing the history of Home and School in P.E.I.

How many times will your Home and School meet during the 2023-2024 school year, in total?


What did you put on your meeting's agendas for parents and educators to discuss at Home and School meetings?  Tell us about topics such as the student health survey, other health/well-being initiatives, healthy school food programs, bussed/walking student safety, etc.

Resolutions are the single most important tool that Home and School can use to influence decision-makers in government and school boards. Approved resolutions are forwarded to decision-makers who can make changes for the benefit of all island students.  Did your Home and School Association submit a resolution to the Federation by the January 31st deadline?  Briefly, tell us about the topic. *

Did your Association apply for funds to host a Parent Leadership event?

If you received Parent Leadership grant funds, tell us about your project including how you engaged with families. *

Communication: How do you communicate with your members? School?

Did you hold fundraising initiatives, and if so, what are the funds raised for?
Did you nominate anyone for the P.E.I. Home and School Federation Awards, and if so, which award(s)? (e.g., Extra Mile Award (School Staff), Crossing Guard, School Bus Driver of the Year, Home and School Volunteer of the Year, Life Member)
2024 Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, Feb. 12-16. Briefly describe your Home and School's activities to appreciate school staff.
The Federation's Semi-Annual Meeting and Volunteer Training Workshops were held in Oct and Nov. 2023. If anyone in your Home and School attended, briefly describe what was learned.
