2020-2021 Family Learning Activities
Every year East offers several learning sessions for families to meet one another, participate in fun social activities together, and learn more about the teaching and learning process. The content for these activities is chosen by you! We want to know what important school-related topics you want to learn more about. Once chosen the topics will be linked with a fun social activity, also suggested by you.
The Federal Title I program funds these activities.

Athletics (atheltic offerings, NCAA requirements)
Career and Technical Education (East's CTE programs, such as Culinary, Optics, Vision Care, TLI, IT, and Biomedical)
College readiness (AP courses, searching for colleges, applying for colleges)
Distance learning (strategies for supporting scholar learning outside of the classroom)
Family Group and The Seven Habbits of Highly Effective Teens (what happens in Family Group, what are the 7 Habits)
Graduation requirements (what does it take to graduate)
Internet safety (bullying, keeping your information safe online)
Literacy and reading (East's literacy program, strategies for reading and writing)
Mental health (destigmatizing mental health, strategies to promote mental health)
Restorative practices (what are restorative practices, how can we use them to create a better culture)
What fun social activities would you like to participate in?
For example, jeopardy, karaoke, arts and crafts, cooking and eating, yoga, etc.
