There are several ways that you can volunteer to help St. Francis' Church do worship! Please check all that you are interested in doing.  If at a later date you want to amend which things you're interested in, just fill out this form again. Questions? Ministries that happen after the service ends
Hospitality - Jackie Dear
Create a space for friendship to blossom! Help prepare and clean up coffee, snacks, and drinks for Sunday worship. Also assist with occasional receptions and celebrations. Frequency: once a month, with a team.
Altar Guild - Jerry Smith
Join a supportive team that prepares the altar for 8am service, clears and resets for 10:30am service. This team also gets creative as they prepare the liturgical space for the seasons of the church year: Advent, Lent, etc. Frequency: Once every four to six weeks, plus seasonal.
Greeter - Sue Schmidt
Join a team that never met a stranger! Greet people as they enter the church building for 10:30am service. Provide assistance and answer questions as needed. Frequency: once a month.

Wired Worship - Paul Jokerst
Bring Worship to the World! Livestream our 10:30am worship via YouTube. Manual, practice sessions, and on-the-job training included! Frequency: once a month.
Usher - Bob Smith
Keep an eye out on the gathered congregation! Distribute bulletins, answer questions as people enter the sanctuary, pass the offering plate, and generally be helpful! Frequency: Every four to six weeks.
Acolyte - Jeff Veenstra
Join the altar party! Carry the cross and assist in setting the altar table. A great job for those who hate public speaking. Frequency: Every four to six weeks.
Lector - Sheila McCart
Proclaim the word! Love to read? Sign up to be an intercessor, too! Frequency: Once a month.
Intercessor/Welcome - Sheila McCart
Pray for the World! Intercessors read Prayers of the People and the opening Welcome. Love to read? Sign up to be a Lector, too! Frequency: Every four to six weeks.
Lay Eucharistic Minister - David Luckes
Share the presence of Jesus! Distribute the cup at Communion. During Covid this is just to one person/household. After Covid, share with one and all! Frequency: TBD, not to exceed once a month.
St. Francis' Singers - Lynne Glickert, Music Director
Sing! No experience or expertise needed. Only a desire to praise God in song. Singers meet twice monthly and sing in worship once a month. No long term commitment needed! Just sing the months that you can. 
Teaching the Word
Ministry to Children during the Liturgy of the Word
Godly Play - Barb Sacco
Teach children the language of faith! Lead Children's Formation through Godly Play, a curriculum that centers on God inviting us into Scripture and spiritual experience. Training and support included; you won't do it alone! Frequency: Once a month, with a team.
Godly Play Door Person - Barb Sacco
Welcome children! Greet them at the door to the Godly Play circle. Watch and support the Circle Leader as needed. Frequency: Once a month, with a team.
Into the World
Ministries that happen after the service ends.
Teller - Suzanne Jones
Be a steward of the gifts we receive! Work with another parishioner to count, prepare and deposit the offerings from the Sunday plate. Frequency: Once a month.
Lay Eucharistic Visitor - David Luckes
Share the Body and Blood of Christ! Bring Communion to homebound parishioners of the ill or hospitalized after the Sunday service or at another mutually agreeable time. Training included. Frequency: TBD when team is assembled.
