Application for the Class of 2030 - GCISD Collegiate Academy at Tarrant County College Northeast
The Collegiate Academy ECHS recruitment and enrollment processes shall identify, recruit, and enroll the subpopulations of at-risk students (as defined by PEIMS), including, but not limited to, students who are of limited English proficiency, students with disabilities, or students who have failed a state administered assessment. Enrollment decisions shall not be based on state assessment scores, discipline history, teacher recommendation, parent or student essays, minimum grade point average (GPA), or other criteria that create barriers for student enrollment.

PUBLIC STATEMENT REGARDING LOTTERY PROCEDURES
In order to comply with the ECHS Blueprint from TEA, GCISD Collegiate Academy will implement a weighted lottery beginning with the 2021/2022 Freshman class. All students who apply to attend Collegiate Academy will be entered into the lottery. The goal of the lottery is to be fair, equitable, and unbiased while targeting students who fulfill the mission of Early College High School. The first 125 names that are drawn from the lottery will make up the accepted freshman class for 2026-2027 school year. The remaining names will be placed on a waiting list in the order they are picked from the lottery. Students will be notified by a letter delivered to their middle school of their acceptance or placement on a waiting list.

El proceso de reclutamiento e inscripción a Collegiate Academy ECHS deberá identificar, reclutar e inscribir a las subpoblaciones de estudiantes en riesgo (según lo definido por PEIMS), incluyendo, pero no limitándose a, estudiantes con dominio limitado del inglés, estudiantes con discapacidades o estudiantes que no hayan aprobado una evaluación estatal. Las decisiones de inscripción no se basarán en los puntajes de evaluaciones estatales, historial disciplinario, recomendaciones de maestros, ensayos de padres o estudiantes, promedio mínimo de calificaciones (GPA) u otros criterios que creen barreras para la inscripción de los estudiantes.  

Declaración Pública Sobre los Procedimientos de la Lotería

Para cumplir con el Plan ECHS de TEA, la Academia Colegiada de GCISD implementará una lotería con peso a desde la clase de noveno grado 2021/2022. Todos los estudiantes que soliciten asistir a la Collegiate Accademy serán incluidos en la lotería. El objetivo de la lotería es ser justa, equitativa e imparcial, al mismo tiempo que se dirige a los estudiantes que cumplen con la misión de las escuelas preparatorias con integracion a la universidad. Los primeros 125 nombres extraídos de la lotería conformarán la clase de noveno grado del ciclo escolar 2026-2027,. Los nombres restantes se colocarán en una lista de espera en el orden en que sean seleccionados. Los estudiantes serán notificados de su aceptación o de su colocación en la lista de espera a través de una carta entregada a su escuela secundaria.
