Join us for Steven's inspirational and practical workshops. He will introduce participants to methods of understanding the language of behaviour. The workshops will provide simple techniques to encourage adaptive social interactions, self-advocacy, and strong executive functioning skills. During the workshops, there will be information provided on how to create a comfortable sensory environment to encourage learning through interest-based exploration. Participants will role-play or create a useful system to apply in their classroom, therapy practice and / or home. Please RSVP as spaces are limited. We will also require prepayment of workshops / appointments to confirm and reserve your spot(s).

Parent / Therapist Workshops (Teachers see below)
These workshops are designed to foster an understanding of challenging behaviours we may see at home or in treatment settings. Participants will be encouraged to see behaviour as a form of communication and understand the underlying need the behaviour may serve. The workshops will provide caregivers with practical tools for responding to challenging behaviour with compassion, while teaching better forms of communication. Participants will also gain understanding into the attention, emotional regulation, and planning challenges caused by executive functioning and sensory differences. Strategies will be shared on creating a sensory friendly space and helping individuals self-regulate habits such as screen time.
Translating the Language of Behaviour - Thursday 19 September 2019 (9:00 - 11:00 am)
A workshop for understanding the language of behaviour and how to encourage continued growth in your children. Participants will learn to understand the communication value of behaviour and how to encourage children to use more socially adaptive ways to express their needs. Workshop activity: Participants will role-play behaviour responses for different aged children. 1500 bht pp (snack included)
Changing Electronic Habits - Thursday 19 September 2019 (11:30 am - 1:00 pm)
A workshop on how to manage electronics usage in the age of screens. Participants will learn techniques to encourage outdoor play, exercise, study skills, and reading actual books. Workshop activity: Participants will create an electronic self-monitoring system to help their children reduce screen time and increase good academic and social behaviour. 1500 bht pp (lunch included)
Supporting your Child with Behaviour & Attention Challenges - Friday 20 September 2019 (3:00 - 5:00 pm)
A workshop for school parents to support their children who may be having difficulties with behaviour and attention in the school setting. Workshop activity: Participants will create a system to help their child work on personal goals related to behaviour, planning and attention. 1500 bht pp (snack included)
Learning in a Sensory Friendly Environment - Saturday 21 September 2019 (10:30 am - 12:00 pm) at Farm de Lek in Nakhon Nayok
A workshop to help parents and practitioners create and implement goals that address academic and life skills targets in outdoor movement-oriented environments. You will learn to customize movement based learning to the specific sensory needs of your child / learner. Workshop activity: Participants will create a measurable goal and role-play at least one activity that teaches academic skills with learners who have sensory differences. 1500 bht pp (lunch included)
Individual 50 min Appointment with Steven - Thursday 19 September 2019 (2:00 - 5:00 pm) OR on Saturday 21 September 2019 (1:00 - 4:00 pm) in the outdoors at Farm de Lek in Nakhon Nayok
This is an opportunity to chat 1:1 with Steven for 50 mins and to delve into the specifics of your child and his/her school and home challenges. Ideally you will have attended some of the workshops for better context. If not, Steven will coach you. The idea is to come up with an actionable plan for you and your family based on your specific needs and concerns. From self monitoring systems to self advocacy, Steven will help you help your child to foster self management and shift destructive behaviours. 4000 bht / appointment.
For Teachers, TAs and Therapists
These workshops are designed to introduce professionals to the the idea of seeing behaviour as a language that can reveal the true needs of a learner. Steven will share a system for understanding the reason a behaviour may occur and how to create goals that directly address the core issue. He will also explore the concept of sensory-based executive functioning differences. The solutions explored will apply to individuals with attention and behavioural difficulties, but are best practice for any educational environment. These workshops will also inspire attendees to create an engaging learning environment that harnesses the learner's creativity and internal motivation.
Understanding the Function of Behaviour in School Settings - Friday 20 September 2019 (9:30 - 11:30 am)
An introduction to determining the function of behaviour and a review of best techniques for reacting appropriately and compassionately. Workshop activity: Participants will practice taking antecedent, behavior, consequence data and create a proactive and reactive plan for behaviours impeding learning. 1500 bht pp (snack included)
Executive Functioning & Behavioural Supports in Classrooms - Friday 20 September 2019 (12:30 - 2:30 pm)
Strategies for developing skills in the areas of social behaviour, organization, planning, and perseverance for individuals with attention and sensory differences. Participants will learn how to create a sensory friendly classroom space, behavioral expectations, and executive functioning strategies that engage the learner while improving attention. Workshop activity: Participants will create a customized self-monitoring system for challenging students, including a planner. 1500 bht pp (lunch included)
