Faculty Nomination Form for Ivy Honorary
Ivy Honorary recognizes that the measure of a high GPA can tend to leave out students who may be facing a variety of challenges while pursuing higher education. Facing these challenges may in fact make these students better leaders, more empathetic, and more well-rounded people. Some examples of this might be: a student who may have had a bad quarter due to health issues, a student who has to work full time while in school, or a student who is a first time college student in their family. Some students may also feel that someone like them would not feel at home in a club like Ivy Honorary. Ivy Honorary wants to make an extra effort to make sure all students feel that Ivy Honorary is an inclusive place where exceptional leaders of all backgrounds are recognized. To this end, this year, we would like to extend the invitation to invite faculty members to recommend and bring to our attention students that they you feel embody the values of Ivy Honorary but who may not self-nominate or may not make the 3.5 GPA guideline.
If you have a student in mind, please fill out this short form by 6:00pm on Thursday, January 26th indicating the student’s name, class, email, and why you think they would be a great fit for Ivy Honorary.
