In the event that we notice activity that makes us concerned about your mental capacity or financial exploitation, we would like to know who you would like us to contact to ask them to check in with you.
Please note that listing a Trusted Contact
DOES NOT give this person authority to access your account, make transactions, initiate a transfer or withdraw cash or securities from your account.
In the event we are concerned, we would reach out to your contact to discuss with them some odd activity related to your finances.
Examples of activity that would cause us to reach out:
1. Jill has always been frugal with her spending, but she has been gifting large sums of money to people she has never mentioned wanting to give money to even after we discussed her lack of ability to give large amounts.
2. Bill is a firm believer in index fund investing, but despite our discussions, Bill has been buying large positions in single stocks without a clear indication why this is being done.
3. Rob showed up to our quarterly meeting and didn't remember that he had a brokerage account or why we were having the meeting.
4. Sarah has never missed a meeting, but despite emails and phone calls, we haven't heard anything.
5. Ed has a very new friend that is asking for significant amounts of money for investment in the new friend's business venture
