Grand Tour of Florida - March 1 thru 10, 2019
Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Sea World and Universal Studios, the beaches of the Florida Keys, an air boat ride in the Everglades, a boat cruise on the inter-coastal waterway near Miami, hospitality from an American family, and more! Over Penn State’s Spring Break holiday in March, International Ministries at Penn State will partner with Cross Country Coach to sponsor a wonderful opportunity for Penn State international students, scholars, and families. Cross Country Coach is a Christian organization which specializes in providing long-distance bus trips.

Schedule

Fri., March 1 - Leave PENN STATE at 8:00 AM and travel to Florence, SC to spend the night in a hotel.

Sat., Mar. 2 - Travel through Georgia and Florida; arrive in Fort Lauderdale, FL at 8:00 PM; stay with a host family

Sun., Mar. 3 - Attend church and spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach

Mon., Mar. 4 - Spend the day relaxing at John Pennekamp State Park in the beautiful Florida Keys, with the opportunity for swimming and (weather-permitting) a glass-bottom boat ride or snorkeling adventure. Evening with your host family again.

Tues., Mar. 5 - Fort Lauderdale “Jungle Queen” Riverboat Tour; Everglades Air Boat Tour and Alligator and Wildlife Zoo; then drive to the Orlando area.

Wed., Mar. 6 - Spend the day at WALT DISNEY WORLD (EPCOT with World of Nations, or MAGIC KINGDOM) or just relax by the hotel swimming pool!

Thurs., Mar. 7 - Spend the day at WALT DISNEY WORLD (EPCOT with World of Nations, or MAGIC KINGDOM) or spend the day as you like.

Fri., Mar. 8 - Spend the day at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS or SEA WORLD or just relaxing and shopping.

Sat., Mar. 9 – Leave for home that morning and travel to Rocky Mount, NC to spend the night in a hotel.

Sun., Mar. 10 – Arrive back in State College around 5:00 pm.

The base cost for the “Grand Tour of Florida” is $600 per person. The trip is limited to 30 participants. The cost for children ages 4-12 is $500/child; ages 2-3 is $450/child.

The base cost includes:
*all housing, including the three nights as guests of an American host family, two nights in a hotel while traveling, and four nights at a hotel in Orlando with a continental breakfast
*all transportation to and throughout Florida
*an air boat ride on the Everglades, and visit to a Native American alligator and wildlife park
*a coastal waterway boat tour in Ft Lauderdale
*admission to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

Your additional costs will include meals while traveling and sightseeing, and:

*Snorkeling or glass-bottom boat ride at Key Largo (weather-permitting) – Cost $25 to $30
*Walt Disney World EPCOT or MAGIC KINGDOM admission (one fee of about $100 includes all attractions for a day at one theme park)
*SEA WORLD OR UNIVERSAL STUDIOS admission (one fee of about $100 includes all attractions for a day at either park)

To reserve a place on the trip, complete the following questions. Kirk will then email you to confirm your confirmation and arrange a time and place to get registration form completed and payment of deposit. Deposit is at least $200 of the $600 total payment. The remainder of payment is then due by Friday, Feb. 15, 2019.
