Thank you for reaching out!
The aim of Academic Coaching and Tutoring is to provide free educational improvement programs for children via personalized academic tutoring to strengthen their subject knowledge and boost self-confidence, and also coach them for development of life skills. Priority and focus are to provide this service to children who need it most due to either economic or family challenges.
The pool of volunteers come from all backgrounds – high achieving current students, teachers, professors and professionals. Tutoring will include a combination of instruction and assisting with assignments either one-on-one or in small groups in an informal setting.
Tutor volunteers will connect virtually with the student on a schedule mutually agreed upon (weekday evenings and/or weekends) and work together as a learning team to meet goals. The tutor volunteers are familiar with and will abide by The National Tutoring Association Tutor Code of Ethics.
