The Practice of Contentment…a unique 12-week experience.  

Contentment requires unconditional and gracious acceptance of our circumstances at any given moment, certain acceptance for our own beautiful lives and those around us and an adopted attitude of non-judgment in daily living.  And all this must begin with the ardent task of truly and absolutely loving the self; which on the surface may seem like it is happening when in reality we have never really learned to care for ourselves in this way or may deeply believe that some part or all parts of us is ‘not enough’. 

As you trek along in your day to day existence you encounter challenges, struggles, negative people or situations, disappointments, frustrations, pitfalls, and fears that ‘push your buttons’ or trigger automatic emotional responses in you.  Those responses are like highlighted notes on a page in your life illuminating the areas where you are in need of healing and transformation.

Over the next 12 weeks you will receive a new lesson each week asking you to reexamine a thought, belief, area of your life or expectation that may be creating a ‘block’ for you in terms of achieving a calmer mind, a more joyful heart or peaceful spirit. Throughout your life your heart may yearn for something more meaningful and fulfilling; more truthful to your soul but life has seemingly taken you in another direction.  Perhaps your family, gender role, cultural, religious or personal beliefs have stood in the way.  But deep down you know you are not living the life you were meant to live.  You may feel unfulfilled or cynical.  Perhaps relationships are hard for you because you have spent your life pleasing others and your own needs never seem to be met.  Or you keep climbing an endless career ladder that seems to go nowhere.  Whatever the challenge…the answer always starts within…with awareness.
