Thank you for your interest in staffing a BBYO Passport experience this coming summer!
The staff selection & training process is comprised of the following phases: 1) Submission of Online Application 2) Video-Based Interview (Starting December) 3) Contract Offer and Placements (Starting Mid-March) 4) Mandatory Staff Retreat (May 31 - June 2)
Note: After each phase, applicants will be notified of their status.
The deadline to submit an application is March 12th, however, additional interviews and assignments may happen on a rolling basis following this deadline based on need. Accordingly, we encourage you to submit this application early.
We expect to make all staff selections on a rolling basis with placement announcements starting mid-March. Applicants who are chosen for staff positions will be invited to a mandatory training retreat, which will take place May 31- June 2, in Baltimore, MD. BBYO will cover travel expenses to and from the training weekend.
Once you begin your application you will need to complete it in its entirety since your answers will not be saved. Due to this we have provided all of the short answer questions for you below. In addition, we would like you to create a short video in order for us to get a better sense of who you are. Though we do love being entertained by cool effects and awesome props, the important thing is that we see you and the way you present. Please upload your video to YouTube, Dropbox, or Google Drive and be ready to provide us with the link within the application.

Every year we receive more applications than we have available staff positions. Staffing an international travel experience is a wonderful opportunity, and staff selection tends to be a competitive process. We expect a thorough and thoughtful application. The only minimum requirement that we have for our staff is that they are four years removed from high school by the start of the summer. Obviously, we are most interested in staff applicants with a record of leadership, a strong Jewish background, and experience abroad – preferably in Israel.
If you have any friends that would also be interested in staffing with us this summer, please direct them to http://www.bbyopassport.org/General-Resources#staffing
If you have any questions about the application or the process, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 202-537-8091.
On behalf of the entire BBYO Passport team, we sincerely appreciate your interest in the program and in making this an incredible summer for our teen participants.
Thanks and best wishes!
