Dear GEOL1101 Student
Welcome to the Geology programme. Geology is a practical course and as such requires physical samples for teaching and learning. Covid-19 has confined us to an online environment for all our activities. To ensure that you received all the content that will prepare you for a career in geology you are required to purchase a lab kit. We have pushed back the start of GEOL1101 to facilitate you getting your kits.

The lab kit consists of rock and mineral samples and testing implements. This kit will help you with rock and mineral identification and will also be useful for GEOL1103 which is taught in the second semester. The samples also serve as reference material you can use at any time.

Please complete this form by Monday September 13, 2021 so that we can finalize payment arrangements and postage rates. I will send you the cost and payment details by Tuesday September 14, 2021.
