This survey is to be completed by the person in your household who is primarily responsible for decisions related to farming and land management and will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. If you find yourself unable to complete the survey all at once, please leave the window/tab open as closing the survey will result in a partial submission. Additionally, avoid pressing the back button on your address bar as this may reset all responses. You can navigate between pages with the in-survey "back" and "next" buttons.
The survey is designed to gather information that focuses on your opinions and perspectives about agriculture-related topics. Additionally, this survey contains information to help introduce participants to agroforestry practices (riparian buffers, windbreaks/shelterbelts, silvopastoral systems, tree-based intercropping, forest farming, woody biomass plantings) relevant for operations in Ontario. Your input will help shape planning and management tools, as well as agricultural research, that will benefit farm operators and land owners such as you. The survey also requests information about your farm and the crops you grow.
At the end of the survey, you will have the opportunity to leave any additional comments for the researchers. Your name will not be connected to any of your responses to survey questions, and you are free to choose not to answer any questions. Participation is voluntary; If at any time you decide that you do not wish to complete the survey, you can stop. You may participate in this survey as either a farm owner or renter. If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints regarding the survey, you may contact Dr. Andrew Gordon, Principal Investigator for the Agroforestry Survey Project at firstname.lastname@example.org.
