Format: 4SS G80+10. USCF rated.
Sections: Open, U1400.
Entry fee: $45 for Open, $30 for U1400
Schedule: On-site registration 10:15-10:45am on Saturday. Rounds 11am, 3:30pm on both Sat/Sun.
Byes: limit one half-point bye in any round, must request by Saturday at 1:30 PM.
Location: Old Mill #325. 94 University Pl, Burlington VT 05405.
Parking: I recommend parking at the UVM Medical lot across the street. 41-43 South Prospect St.
Equipment: We have a decent amount of boards/clocks, but please bring your own if possible.
Prizes: Open - $200, $100. U1400 - $125, $75.
Prizes will be distributed via check by mail, and prize winners will be required to fill out a W9 with UVM (and potentially other paperwork) to be eligible to receive their prizes. It may take up to 14 business days.
This event will be a fundraiser for the UVM Chess Club. All excess proceeds from entry fees will directly fund club travel & entry to tournaments during the rest of the academic year.
We will have a capacity limit of 60 players, so advance entry is recommended.
