Are you interested in participating in an AWG? Before completing this membership participation form, please learn more about the AWG and OSDR, then review the Analysis Working Groups Charter to familiarize yourself with expectations. Please note, participants cannot use AWG membership as a means to claim any direct affiliation with NASA.
Anyone is welcome to join the AWGs who wishes to engage in its two main functions and activities. When requesting to join, please add a statement describing your interests, experiences, background, and training.
As of June 2026, there are 11 AWGs: AI/ML, Animal, Brain, Female Repro, Spaceflight Epidemiology, Microbial, Multi-Omics (across species, across 'omics data types), Hardware, Plant, Planetary Protection, and Regolith.
Following your submission and on-boarding, an AWG lead will contact you with details on how to join the monthly meetings. There also are regular AWG Office Hours, so keep an eye on emails to get the calendar invite. The Office Hours are meant to help orient new members to the AWGs, OSDR, etc.
Here is an introductory video on the OSDR-AWGs for all the public and new members 🎉🚀
We look forward to collaborating with you! Welcome to the 'Open Science for Life in Space' community🎉
The next onboading of new AWG members will be the week of August 17th, 2026. Thank you for your patience.
