Humanities Approaches to the Opioid Crisis - Art Exhibit - Submission Form
The BU Center for Humanities is pleased to announce that we are now accepting submissions for the art exhibit we plan to host in conjunction with our fall forum, “Humanities Approaches to the Opioid Crisis.” Boston area students, staff, alumni, and faculty are welcome to submit work to this juried exhibition.

We will accept any 2D work (painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, and so forth) that adheres to the guidelines outlined below and reflects the themes of the event. You can learn more about the forum here ( The exhibit will be housed inside the Center for the Humanities, CAS B-02 & B-03, and in one of the cases outside the Center, and will run from Friday, October 19 to Monday, November 19, 2018. Some works will be selected for a pop-up exhibit on October 13th, to be on display during the forum in the reception area outside of the Law School Auditorium. Your work will be seen by those participating in the forum, including high-level government officials, Boston community leaders, and notable scholars.

If selected as a participant, you must be able to drop off and retrieve your piece at CAS B-02, 725 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215.

To submit work to the exhibition, please fill out this form by July 31, 2018. This includes uploading high-resolution jpegs of your work. You will receive notification by September 15, 2018.

Artwork Guidelines
- Up to three submissions per artist
- Artwork must be ready to hang, must either be framed or otherwise provide a stable, secure hanging wire on the back of the piece
- Artwork should be no more than 3’ in any direction and should not exceed 10lbs

This is a juried exhibit. We reserve the right to reject submissions. We reserve the right to refuse an entry that has been misrepresented by its digital image. We reserve the right to use images of your work in print and on social media for advertising or archival purposes.
