RSVP for Libraries & Organizing Panel @ UW
Join us on Tuesday (2/8) from 6pm to 7pm for an exciting panel on libraries & labor unions! This event is co-hosted by ALISS, the iSchool Doctoral Students Association, and iOrganizers from UAW4121. This panel will be held over Zoom, and is open to all.

What do labor unions have to do with libraries?! How are labor unions critical to pushing for DEI-related changes in institutions like libraries, academia, and beyond?! Attend the panel to find out!

Speakers will include Emily Drabinski (Critical pedagogy librarian, City University of New York), Kelly McElroy (Student engagement and community outreach librarian, Oregon State University), Madison Sullivan (Fine and performing arts librarian, University of Washington), and Christine Moeller (PhD student and UAW4121 organizer, University of Washington). The discussion will be moderated by iSchool MLIS candidate Jacob Lackner.

Please reach out to Jacob Lackner (jlackner@uw.edu) or Levin Kim (lvnkm@uw.edu) if you have any questions. For more information, please check out the UW Libraries Union (https://sites.google.com/view/uwlibunion/home) and the UAW Local 4121 (https://www.uaw4121.org/).
