After School Program Inspiring Real-life Excellence (A. S. P. I. R. E. PLUS), is a fee-based after school program in Gaston County Schools.
Our goal is to provide a variety of activities that will enrich the lives of Gaston County students and help them grow academically and personally. We will also emphasize the building of social, physical, and emotional skills through activities like the arts, STEM, journalism, character education, and physical activity. The A.S.P.I.R.E. Plus program consists of the following activities:
- A Light Dinner
- Independent reading
- General Math/Reading/Science Instruction
- Enrichment/movement activities
The A. S. P. I. R. E. PLUS program will be offered after school at Pinewood Elementary School Monday-Friday from 2:30-6:00. We will open this service to parents on the following teacher workdays from 8:00am-5:00pm:
- October 13th
- January 4th
- January 5th
- February 19th
- March 8th
Parents/Guardians must complete an A.S.P.I.R.E. PLUS application, pay the enrollment fee ($25.00), and the weekly rate ($100.00) for students to be included in the program using the K12 Payment system.
Only parents who have confirmed After-School enrollment may use the k12paymentcenter.com for tuition payments.
Before logging in to pay your bill through k12paymentcenter.com please refer to your After-School Billing Statement for the correct amount to be paid. Please pay your bill by Thursday of each week in order to avoid late fees.
Follow the steps below to make a payment:
- From your web browser go to www.k12paymentcenter.com
- If you are already pay for lunches online, log into your account. If you do not have an account, choose the option to set up a new account.
- Choose A.S.P.I.R.E. PLUS Pinewood as the category
- Enter the amount to be paid from your After School billing statement
Parents/students accepted for enrollment and paid invoices will be invited to an orientation via email. At this time, we will explain the program, further fees, and the services provided in more detail.
