DUES

During On-Season, $20 Monthly dues are due at the 1st of each month and to be turned in to the Treasurer via Zeffy or cash no later than the 10th of each month.

Zebra Crew (SO and NSO) and Volunteers are not required to pay dues, unless they want to be a member with voting rights.

Dues help pay for league maintenance, including but not limited to: the porta potty, website maintenance, PO box, first aid kits, and our league babysitter when available.

Membership dues may be waived in the case of approved leave of absence, injuries, pregnancy, or hardship. Members should approach the BOD with issues as soon as possible.

If you are non-paying, non-participating, and non-communicating for 90 days, you will be removed from the Discord Server, and you will have to ask to rejoin.

If dues are expected of me, I will pay on time. If I am unable to pay my dues, I will report my hardship to the BOD ASAP.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

As a skater, attendance and participation at practices is important to be safe for yourself and others on the track.
_____________________________________________
I will comply with the SMRR Attendance Policy by striving to attend at least one practice per week.

If I cannot attend practice, due to illness, injury, or other factors out of my control, I will notify the Training Workgroup on the #derby-practice Discord thread.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Membership requirements and dues will be waived for a leave of absence. A leave of absence request must be brought to the BOD as soon as possible. Coaches and captains may require a skill level reassessment after any leave of absence.

Injuries: If capable, injured skaters are still encouraged to attend practice, bouts, meetings, public relations events and remain active in committees and communication forums.

Pregnancy: If able, pregnant skaters are encouraged to attend practice, bouts, meetings, public relations events and remain active in committees and communication forums. Pregnant skaters are not encouraged to continue skating. Those that do, skate at their own risk and agree to not hold SMRR liable for injuries or health complications. Pregnant skaters that choose to continue skating are strongly encouraged to consult medical professionals to determine an appropriate level of activity with special consideration to long-term effects.

Other: All absences lasting longer than 90 days without proper communication with the league will have to reapply for membership. If we have not heard from a skater in 2 weeks and we are concerned for their wellbeing, we may contact the skater’s emergency contact person or law enforcement if circumstance warrants.

*
CONFLICT RESOLUTION

If I have a conflict or grievance with another member that we cannot resolve privately, I will contact the BOD or a member of the Operations/Skater Advocate Workgroup to take appropriate action as outlined in the SMRR Conflict Resolution Policy.
