FSAA Board Member Election Application
The Ford Scholar Alumni Association (FSAA) is currently recruiting applicants for six open positions on the Board of Directors. FSAA began with the idea to continue Kenneth and Hallie Ford's vision of creating an ongoing community of what Kenneth called "Ford Scholars for Life." If you have a passion for helping others and want to connect with other Alumni while developing your personal and professional skills, then this is the opportunity for you!

Positions Open for 2018 FSAA Election
This year there are six open positions on the FSAA Board:
1. Vice President
2. Treasurer
3. Member-at-Large (Four available)

Ford Scholar, Restart, and Opportunity recipients are eligible to apply for any of the open positions. We look forward to having more Ford Opportunity and Ford Restart applicants this year to help strengthen representation across all alumni programs participating in the Ford Scholar Alumni Association.

Required Qualifications
Ford Scholar, Restart, and Opportunity Recipients are eligible to apply for any of the open positions. No previous experience is needed. You do NOT have to live in Oregon to serve; you can attend board meetings via teleconference or online video communications.

Those elected will serve two-year terms and must be committed to attending quarterly board meetings and sit on a committee which meets monthly. The quarterly board meetings are held in different locations each quarter: Portland metro area (January) , Various location (Spring and Fall), and in Eugene (Summer).

Board members will serve for a term of two years, beginning officially in June. All new members are required to attend a virtual Board Member Orientation in the month of April. They also have the opportunity to meet with their predecessor before their term begins in April at the Spring Board meeting. New board members will be added to our online team collaboration tools before their term begins to become familiar with important organizational documents and operations.

How to apply
1. Visit our website at www.fordscholaralumni.com to learn more about our current projects, past work, and more about the open positions.

2. Complete the online FSAA Board Member Election Application below. Some of your responses will be published in the FSAA e-newsletter and FSAA social media pages for voting by the general membership. Those responses are indicated with an asterisk at the end of the question. Character limits are displayed in the description text under the name of each item.

3. Email a high resolution profile picture of yourself to communications@fordscholaralummni.com with a subject line (2018 FSAA Elections - YourLastName). It will be used for marketing purposes and published in the FSAA e-newsletter.

4. You must submit this form and have all application materials in by 10:00 PM (PST) on Saturday, February 10, 2018 to be considered on the ballot.

5. Voting will occur via electronic ballot emailed to the FSAA membership Monday, March 12 - March 19, 2018. Once ballots are sent, applicants are free to campaign using social media.
