English Language Arts Curriculum - Family and Community Member Survey
Thank you for your interest in the Duluth Public Schools English Language Arts (ELA) Curriculum. We are grateful for your input and desire to help improve learning experiences and outcomes for Duluth students.

We are asking all interested individuals to please complete this survey. This survey asks for your feedback regarding both the current Duluth Public Schools English Language Arts curriculum as well as what you feel is important in the new or revised curriculum as we implement the 2020 ELA standards. All answers and opinions shared in this survey will remain anonymous; however, you may enter your name and contact information at the end of the survey if you wish to have a Curriculum Coordinator reach out to you (if you provide contact information, that information will not be shared outside of our office or attached to your answers when data is shared with the Review Committee).

Section 1: Current Curriculum
Please answer the following questions based on the CURRENT curriculum, instruction, and assessment methods and practices. The questions in this section are optional and may be skipped if you feel you do not have enough experience with the current curriculum.

In elementary grades, the main curricular resource is Wonders. Elementary students are assessed using unit tests from Wonders. Middle school grades use text resources and novels within units based on the standards. High school grades primarily use a combination of textbooks, novels, and other text resources within units created to meet the standards. Middle and High school students are assessed using unit tests based on the standards and created by Duluth Public Schools' teachers.
