Volunteers needed! Calling all gardeners and supporters of Green Care Farms.
We want to send a big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped us in 2024 with preparing the garden, planting vegetables and flowers, and setting up our fabulous new gazebo and benches!
As we jump into 2025, it’s that time again! We’re excited to get started on preparing the garden, planting, maintaining everything, tackling weeds, and, of course, enjoying the harvest of our hard work.
We’d love to have even more friendly faces join us this year! We're hosting several community days throughout the summer, and your help would mean the world to us. Feel free to drop by on any of those days that fit your schedule. We can't wait to see you!

Parking
There is ample parking at the farm, you will need to walk a bit to get to the Sensory Garden plot
(past the barn/storefront) down the lane to the right.
Attire
Please dress warmly for a day outside in clothes and footwear that can get muddy - time for those wellies! We will be working with some gardening tools (e.g. shovels) so please wear closed-toed shoes (steel or hard tip if you have them). Please bring gloves and any favourite trusty gardening gear and don't forget to take it all with you at the end of the day!
Fuel
Bring water! There is no kitchen on the farm. We will have some light snacks and drinks there but please eat first and bring a lunch box or cooler with food you need to sustain you or if you have special dietary needs.
