THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF FREEHOLD AREA (NJ) BRANCH MEMBERSHIPS:
1. BRANCH MEMBER (with National and State Membership)
2. BRANCH STUDENT AFFILIATE (with National and State Membership)
3. BRANCH FRIEND MEMBER (WITH BRANCH MEMBERSHIP ONLY)

THERE IS ALSO A SPECIAL PROGRAM "SHAPE THE FUTURE" PROGRAM, where members qualifying to join as a Branch member can join at a reduced rate for the first year, if they join at a public event. (Members joining under this program need to complete a different AAUW National application set up just for this program.)

STEP 2: FOR AAUW FREEHOLD BRANCH AND STUDENT AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIPS:

If you click on the join now, you must first select National Member, then State organization, and them Freehold Area Branch membership. Note, however, if you wish to join under the Shape the future program, where you receive 50% off of National membership for the first year, then do NOT join until you are provided a coupon code! Once you are provided the coupon code, you can join.

You will have the option to pay online, or you may mail a check to the Branch Treasurer. (Her address will be provided when you submit this application.)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Qualifications)

FOR AAUW NATIONAL Membership (Note: must sign at bottom of form that you meet these requirements): I am a graduate holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution as stated above. (Graduate and Undergraduate Students are signing that they are enrolled in qualified institution.) (Dues include National, State and Branch membership
fees.)

FOR Student Affiliates: Undergraduate Students enrolled in a two- or four- year qualified educational institution and Graduate Students enrolled in a qualified educational institution. (Fees vary by type of Student Affiliation - See website for more information)

FOR BRANCH FRIEND MEMBERS: Individuals that do not hold the required degree requirements for AAUW membership may request to join the Branch as a “Friend” member. Friend members may include up to 10% of our membership. Friend members do not pay National or State dues, because they are not eligible for National, or AAUW NJ membership, and they cannot hold an AAUW Elected Officer position. They can hold a Branch appointed Officer position, and are considered full members of the Branch.

FOR JOINING UNDER SHAPE THE FUTURE PROGRAM (Offer is first year only): Must meet AAUW Requirements of AAUW National Membership and NOT have been an AAUW Member for at least 2 years.

DUES:

Effective April 1, 2023, annual AAUW Freehold Area (NJ) Branch Membership dues are $93 ($72 National, $10.00 State and $11.00 Local Branch).

JOINING UNDER SHAPE THE FUTURE PROGRAM (Offer is for first year only):
$57 for Members to join for first year of membership (National Dues (Half Price $36) + State Dues ($10) + Branch Dues ($11).
