We are excited to offer FREE online Python Programming workshops for middle schoolers!
Learn basic Python programming skills + applications in scientific research!

WHO: Rising/Current 6th-8th Graders
DATES: June 14 ~ August 9 (9 sessions)
DURATION: 1.5 hours (once a week)
TIME: Sundays at 2:00-3:30pm

Workshop content includes (tentative plan):
Week 0 — Intro to Research & Python
Week 1 — Variables & Logic
Week 2 — Loops & Advanced Logic
Week 3 — Collections
Week 4 — Advanced Collections
Week 5 — Functions
Week 6 — Advanced Functions & Loops
Week 7 — Complex Collections & Final Project
Week 8 — Final Project & Conclusion

We will be offering two more workshops in the next school year:
1) Advanced Python Programming: Python applications in scientific research
2) Intro to Science Fair: guidance through a science fair project
Students attending all three workshops will learn the skills necessary for doing a science fair project and presenting it at the regional science fair.
