Calculating your Carbon Footprint
Ecological footprint measures the demands made by a person or group of people on global natural resources. Similarly, a carbon footprint measures the amount of carbon dioxide emissions associated with something such as a person's activity or the production and transport of goods. In this activity, you will learn about your ecological footprint and carbon footprint. By learning where we rank the highest, we can make changes and move towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

Visit http://www.footprintcalculator.org/ and take the survey to calculate how many planets it takes to support your lifestyle. For each question click on "Add details to improve accuracy" to include more details. This will result in a more accurate calculation.

After you complete the survey and review your results, take the survey a second time making changes to your answers to reduce your footprint.
