A significant career change may involve moving from one occupation or field to another that differs greatly in terms of skills, responsibilities, industry, or level of seniority. Examples of such transitions include changing industries or sectors, relocating geographically, taking on a different role or function that requires new expertise or skill sets, or even starting one’s own business.
