The Institute for Educational Leadership convened the first group of district leaders responsible for oversight and implementation of their district's family and community initiatives in 2009. At that meeting it became evident that there was little to no support or capacity building opportunities for engagement district leaders. This revelation spawned the idea of a network specifically for district level leaders of family ad community engagement.
The network has grown from the original 6 district leaders to its current level of almost 200 members of the District Leaders Network for Family and Community Engagement(FCE). As we have grown we have tried to ensure that district leaders have access to professional development and peer learning exchanges at the annual FCE Conference and the opportunity to visit colleagues to experience and learn up close at our learning labs.
We welcome your participation in this network. We ask that you complete this survey regarding your district and your role it provides us with vital information on how family and community engagement is approached nationally. Thank You!
