About GRN
GRN (pronounced ‘Grown’) is a citizen tree-planting initiative developed by the City of Chattanooga Water Quality Program and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center, aimed at growing a healthier, more dense forest canopy across the City of Chattanooga, with special attention given to the neighborhoods and communities impacted by the April 12, 2020 tornado event.

This program is open and available to all City of Chattanooga residents. Properties that fall within the Tornado-Affected Zone will be eligible to receive four(4) trees to plant on-site. Properties that fall outside this zone will be eligible to receive two(2) trees to plant on-site. See the link below to find your property!

Properties located within the highlighted portion of the map have been identified as being most-affected by the path of the April 12, 2020 tornado event. If a property’s eligibility is in question, City staff will work with individuals to make sure their needs are met.

Thank you so much for your interest in this program. Your participation is helping grow a stronger, healthier, more resilient Chattanooga!
