Need convenient after-school childcare? Want your K-5th-grader to make Jewish friends and experience Jewish connection during the school year? Good news!

A new Jewish after-school program with transportation from area schools for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade could be coming to Newton for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are using this form to understand the community's interest in such a program.

Details

ALL are welcome! The program is open to the entire community.

Grades: Kindergarten through 5th grade

Days and hours: Monday-Friday from the end of the school day until 6pm [5pm Fridays]

Flexible enrollment options: Attend 2 to 5 days a week. You choose the days!

Location: Temple Shalom (175 Temple Street, West Newton MA, 02465)

Transportation: We will pick up students from several local schools

Program details: Homework help, indoor and outdoor playtime, art, music, sports, holiday celebrations, and healthy snacks – all through a Jewish lens

Staff: Energetic, fun, caring, camp-style teachers

Full-day camps when school is out: On some teacher work days and during some school breaks
