2018 SCGS Field Trip Registration Form
Field Trip: Field Days September 29th and 30th; with travel September 28th to October 1st, 2018
Location: Southern Cascades, CA
The camping location is Harris Spring Campground (41.457, -121.785) on USFS land outside of McCloud, CA.

Details:
Friday: Arrive to Harris Springs Campground (travel)
Saturday: Medicine Lake Volcano and Lava Beds National Monument (Glass Mountain, lava tubes, recent volcanic deposits)
Sunday: Mount Shasta tour-around (fascinating eruptive history, various volcanic deposits, massive landslide, and glacial deposits)
Monday: Depart to home (travel)

Fee Information and Agreement
The Fees for the 2018 South Coast Geological Society Field Trip are as follows:

Regular Member: $145

Student Member: $95 (First 10 students); $145 thereafter pending sponsorship availability.

Non-Member: $190

Optional: Student Sponsorship $100 supports 2 students.

This cost includes camp site fees, food from dinner on Friday night to lunch on Sunday and everything in between (6 meals total), field trip t-shirt, beverages (beer, wine, water, soda), port-a-potty’s, a printed Road Log book, and digital 2018 Field Trip Guidebook.

SCGS Field Trip WAIVER
The participant is advised that dangers and hazards may include but are not limited to uneven ground, steep trails, poison oak, heat and cold stress, poisonous reptiles and insects, open flames, uncertain and possible extreme weather conditions, floods, earthquakes, road hazards, sun burn, and landslides on the SCGS field trip planned for September 28th to October 1st, 2018, and does hereby assume any and all risks involved in connection with the field trip and does hereby save and hold harmless SCGS, its volunteer officers and other participants, all claims, losses and damages (including attorney’s fees and any costs involved because of said claims) on account of injury, death, property damage, and inconvenience or loss of money due to delay that may arise, by reason of participant involvement in the field trip. Participant understands that they (the participant) are responsible for carrying their own medical and auto insurance.
