This is a survey about overcrowded housing in Lewisham. We are a team of researchers working with Citizens Advice Lewisham on a project looking to understand the impact living in overcrowded conditions has on people’s lives.
The legal definition of overcrowding is complicated and imperfect, but broadly you are defined as living in overcrowded housing if you are an adult who has to share a room with someone other than your spouse/partner, and/or are having to sleep in a room that is not classed as a bedroom.
We’ll use the findings from this survey to write a publicly available report about overcrowding in Lewisham for Citizens Advice, which we hope will be a valuable tool in campaigning for better housing conditions for residents of Lewisham and beyond.
By taking part in this survey, you are agreeing to your responses being used for this purpose, and any other related publications. Your responses will be kept completely anonymous by the research team. You can withdraw your participation at any time - should you wish to do so, please let us know by emailing: communications@citizensadvicelewisham.org.uk
Thank you very much for taking the time to complete this survey. If you have any questions please get in touch using the email address above.
