We are so excited to welcome your family to our Faith Formation and Sacrament Preparation programs for the 2024-2025 school year!
FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM:
The Grades 6-12 Faith Formation program is organized into three trimesters,
with
five sessions in each trimester. Please choose a minimum of TWO trimesters (a total of 10 sessions) in which your child will participate. Additionally, each student is required to volunteer in a liturgical ministry at one of three designated Masses, attendance at all three is required, participate in the Youth Stations of the Cross on March 28, 2025, and attend one of three Liturgical and Prayer Sessions (dates TBD). Regarding the Sacrament of Confirmation
For students who would like to receive their sacrament of Confirmation, you must have one year of Faith Formation completed prior to the year you attend 2nd Year (Immediate) Confirmation Preparation. For example, if you are in the ninth grade, you will need to attend this year, 1st Year Confirmation Prep and then you may enter 2nd Year (Immediate) Confirmation Prep in the tenth grade. Or, if you are in the tenth grade and decide to receive the sacrament, but did not attend Faith Formation in the ninth grade, you will be eligible to receive your sacrament in the eleventh grade, entering 2nd Year (Immediate) Confirmation Prep in the eleventh grade.
2nd YEAR IMMEDIATE PREP CONFIRMATION PROGRAM:
2nd Year (Immediate) Confirmation Program is one trimester of Faith Formation and ALL of the Preparation Sessions, including the retreat. 2nd Year (Immediate) Confirmation Prep classes will be offered in 2025, specific dates TBD. Confirmation is normally celebrated during a week night in May.
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Faith Formation for youth in grades 6-9 please choose at least TWO trimesters of sessions. For 9th graders, this will be 1st Year Confirmation Prep.
- Confirmation for youth who are in 10th grade or older AND attended faith formation last year, in school year 2023-2024, choose ONE trimester of Faith Formation sessions AND the Immediate Confirmation Prep option.
